Motivational Monday: Clothes Have No Gender ...

Yes! That is right.
'Clothes Have no Gender'

Clothes shouldn't have a gender. We should all be able to wear what we want without society tell us other wise, or the clothing stores separating us by our genders, especially when we find one's clothing better than the other ... maybe that's just me. But being able to wear whatever you want, because it makes you feel better shouldn't be a problem - this goes for any, and everything: Make-up, accessories, shoes & etc.

If you're female, people feel like you're obligated to wear make-up, heels, dresses or whatever, because it's apart of being feminine. Or if you're male, they would assume you love to wear pants, sweats, sneakers or whatever since it's a masculine thing to do. None of it makes sense! If you don't like to wear make-up, dresses, and you're a girl - then don't. If you don't like to wear jeans/pants, suits, sneakers, and you're a guy - then don't. You can wear whatever you want! Guys, if dresses, heels, make-up ... 'feminine' clothing makes you comfortable then wear it - Ladies, if wearing pants, suits, baggy clothing, sneakers & etc., is comfortable then wear it. Don't let people tell you other wise or you will never get out of a funk, you're putting yourself in for caring about what other's think of you or of your clothing.

I personally don't like to wear make-up, and dress up since i don't feel the need to - I don't like to do my eyebrows, and stomp around wearing heels, or really fit to tight clothing because they make me uncomfortable. Wearing certain things for events, and for others are different for me, because the first is for me, a decision I'm ok and comfortable with, and the other is not. It's sometimes hard to explain, but that's how things are. Just wear what you want, be who want, do what you want, as long as you're being/doing it for yourself. You will be so much better, and get better at accepting things. It's just one step at a time - one anyone can do, and continue to do along the way while doing whatever it is.

Have a lovely, and refreshing start to the week! Here are some other quotes, if you're interested.

TV Tuesday: The Drama of Horror's Comedy

1) Chasing Life: Well, just like the poster says 'Cancer Sucks' and it does! We come across shows like these and get sucked in, because it deals with basically everyday life, along with the sickness of Cancer. We may know people or known those who had or have Cancer, some whom have survived or lost the battle with this heartbreaking disease. This show is a must watch! Not only because April is dealing with the findings of getting diagnosed with Cancer, but how she's trying to accept it, live with it in her everyday life as a Journalist for the 'Boston Post' (which is fictional) - doing the best to not let it bring her down. In a way it's helping her fight for what she wants. The other reason why I've decided to watch this is the fact it's actually based in my hometown! Like not some Canadian place, where they go and fake the locations to make them 'real' - it shows the beauty of the City, the humor the characters all seem to have even if it's dark or well ... dry-ish - no one's perfect. Do watch the first season on Nextflix or try Hulu Plus before the new season starts next month on ABC Family - watch it and you will see why I'm all for 'Team Dominic' because Leo just doesn't cut it for me. Drama.

2) The Flash (tv show): I'm a fan of all things DC, and The Flash has always been my favorite thanks to the cartoon shows I used to watch as a kid. I recommend this to whomever loves comic-books, love the idea of these characters coming to life by real live action people. Follow Barry through his electrifying life, the secret love he has for his childhood friend Iris (who is originally caucasian with red hair - though this life action Iris i fine by me, but not to some who feel like there should have been a different way to add diversity to the show, introducing other characters - instead of the first 'African American' to play this white character or whatever. I guess I get it.) - the friends he makes with my favorite character Cisco, and Katelyn. He decides to be the one who helps save the world, his town from the criminals lurking about. He's the fastest man alive - childhood issues - dad's in jail for a murder he's never done (that being killing Barry's mom when he was 11). Watch the show to find out more - there's humor in this, along with some adventure-ish action, and mystery! CW channel.

3) iZombie (tv show - more of the comcis for me): I love, and adore all things dead, and moving after viruses or whatever reason has infected beings. I have a problem with loving death ... if it's fictional, duh. With this show the title explains it all, and Liv whom used to be human is living like as a zombie, who works at a morgue to access brains (dead brains) so she won't go around killing everyone walking around minding their own. With the brains, come the memories of the dead - how they die, who murdered them, along with their personality traits. This is similar to the comic-books (somewhat - probably not really) as well, but for me I'm for them more since comic-book Gwen (from the first one I've read - the living-human-ish zombie) is the only zombie, as her friends are a ghost, and werewolf - there's this vampire sorority, with other characters that are interesting. I'm not sure if the show wanted to wait to add these characters or take another turn as it's making zombies left and right, which gets a bit annoying, for me. Totally not even sure it they want it to be the same. Lowell (tv) was the only one that I like, besides Liv since she gets to experience the life of the dead. Watch this show, (CW channel) because you love the supernatural craves, and acting. I say read the comic-books as well, like I need to finish, too. Yup, they are different. #izombiegwen

Thursday Reading: Do Mind Games Count?

Besides reading, does mind games count as reading though they're about numbers? Well, I'm all for playing games, and reading, and being confused on why i'm doing both at the same time. I haven't read a solid book in months that feels like years, and I think it's time to crack open a new one ... well restart one - so I will start with one of the three:  'The White Mary' by Kira Salak, which was a birthday gift last year, 'The Family Fang' by Kevin Wilson, which I picked up at a store, and 'Houses of Horror' by Hans Holzer, which I picked up at a local library in the back room where they have books they sell, from people donating them in. I've tried to pick up 'Paper Towns' again to finish, but it's not working out so well. 'Staying Strong' will be on the list for as long as needed, and that's ok with me. I'm not all that picky with books, though romance-clingy-drama-girlish books aren't my thing - I'll still give them a go because it's a thing for reading and giving authors I've never heard of a try, and recommend them to people even if I don't like it - they might enjoy it much more.

The game I've been playing, is Sudoku! Yeah, old, and lame. I've been playing this since middle school, and I have random books and Metro newspapers everywhere because it's become a thing for numbers, memory and for not having a life ... socially and a real one. I've also been playing random card games with people since forever, and lets see if game night this week is a success after a workout I help take pictures, and record for a sister of mine - you can head to her site: InspireOneFitness where she's adding new content now, as she's getting the hang of things. Super exciting for that. She's also into like music, fashion, and all things badass! I might do a feature on there one day so go go go go go add her!
All right, I'm out! not literally like outside, out and about with people, but like maybe just outside to get some sun, pick a book, get a tan .... something. Plus, like the show I've been watching this week is done! #SOB - #TeamDominic, because I don't like Leo | TV Tuesday will up next week for me to discuss what I'm talking about. Thanks for reading, and sticking around as always. If you have a blog you want me to check out just leave a comment or message me about things you would like to chat about or just topics, and things you want to read more about- reviews, recommendations work, too: StoriesByTiffany@Gmail.com.

Music to listen to ...

Just a quick post for this week, for the start of this month's postings. I, for one, love music - it's just refreshing every time I listen to artists that I grew up with, or new and upcoming ones like these three: Dot, A.Marie and Nino Stack from Boston, MA. They came together to make a song dedicated to the ones they've lost, and still miss dearly. You can head over to Dot's link on Soundcloud LegacyENT to listen to his song 'I Miss You' ft. A.Marie & Nino Stack.

The thing with this song ... it's catching and great at the same time - though the singing sounds low to a bit off at some parts, but being up there to sing in front of people can be nerve-racking at times. You can only get better at doing things, the more you put yourself out there, along with being comfortable doing whatever it is.

I'm all for supporting local artists, and people in general - but i'm more supportive when it comes to family wanting to do their own thing while branching out - stepping out of their comfort zones to do what they love. Do take a listen, because you won't regret it! All the love to my little brother on his music path, and to his songwriting journey. You're only going to improve for the better! Also, for a first song being released after hours and days of finding one to step in to sing - to records ... it was a success. Can't wait for more.

Stay tune for more posts later this week! Thank you all for visiting my blog - #BLOGON
Also, leave a message if you would like for me to review your work of any sort dealing with art and it will be posted on instagram: TheGenerationOfArt for all to see, and hopefully check out (you can follow, and we will follow back)
