"Wisdom to teach, and learn. Not to hate" - #storiesbytiffany

From things we hate, love, can't decide, and overall just roll with. If only you can live the way you want, have things go your way, be in charge of it all ... but living in this world, you can't without the challenges, I'm sure we've all have come to the conclusion of taking them on. We live and learn every single day - we learn new things without even realizing them. We fall in love with things &/or people, then tend to hate them without fully knowing what's going on. It's just how the nature of things work in this cycle we're living it - so we take them as they come, along with the beauty and unfortunate tragedy we face. We teach to build ones mind, as they learn to build from the bottom up whether it's to love themselves, the little things or simply others - learning to accept things they way they are, yet to challenge the impossible, what's right from wrong - mistakes we all endure, but teach to learn to overcome to start over. We for one, were not born to hate - it is something we were taught as we watched those before us, or watch these things we love turn into something evil because of ones decisions to do so. If we show more of the positivity of great things, and how it will be such a beautiful place to live, though i feel like it should start with your mind, and your soul to help open ones mind, because it starts with you, me ... us to lead the way. We're a generation of power and greatness!

EffYourBeautyStandards has become such an amazing movement showcasing they're own versions of what beauty is, and what it should be! We're all tired of these standards going around for all of us, especially women, and those who are not smaller in size compared to what we see everyday. This page/movement is open for all, no matter the differences we have - this makes us become one. T the way we accept ourselves as we do for one another, brings on this empowerment to share with the world. Something positive and not just the 'typical' body shape and all beauty standards - it's yourself you're loving, and wanting to share it with someone else in a way they can do the same. It's a win-win. I like what these women are doing - it's what i've been going by all my life. #effyourbeautystandards #bodypositivity

Thursday Reading: Ending the summer with Malala

A new book (well ... not really since i've had it since the beginning of the year and haven't read it yet. There was another one like this but it seems it was the one i really wanted) to end the summer with. A read everyone should pick up and see how Malala fought for the equality in education ... and began to change the world even with some life threatening difficulties. I'm starting this now, and a review should be in session once it's done - so it will be the first book review to start off the month of September, where the books roll in and the reviews roll out (something like that). "I wasn't sad. I wasn't scared. I just thought: It doesn't matter what I look like. I am alive. I was thankful." - Malala Yousfzai (noble peace prize winner) | I'll be ending the summer with Malala and beginning the fall with Malala ... something to do with inspiring others is always a great feeling - and she's already changed the world in more ways than she knows. Everyone in some way have already changed the world in ways they haven't yet realized ... some for the good, and some for the worst, but it should never end when it comes to making the world, teaching others of what the meaning of positive change is, and how much things could get better. It can start with you, and your community - others will see the progress, then more forward from that. It should be a cycle of good instead of brainwashing negativity: the rash that never stops irritating you, because it feeds for the itch ...

Get out, speak out, teach and make a change!

Monday Muse: Duo for the game

A quick post for a Monday ... don't you wish it was already over?

Today's Monday Muse goes to one of my favorite duo's in the music industry ... are none other than Nas and Damian Marley! Ever since I've heard Damian's 'Road to Zion' ft. Nas ... I found them to make great music together, like they were supposed to be this amazing duo - this amazing mix to music. 'Distant Relatives' is one of my favorite albums: the songs through and through, are get better and better - the lyrics stay true to what they represent - I feel like it's sometimes hard for artists to stay or stick to who they are or what they want represent, because it's true to them ... as we can relate to their music. I always enjoyed listening to Nas from a young age, and to still listen to his music, whether it's just him or with someone else - i feel like it's still great no matter how much time has changed/still is changing. If you haven't listen to any of their music do check out this album, or head to Damian's site for all the info - he's touring and he's coming here soon. I should look into that, actually. http://damianmarleymusic.com/ | http://www.nasirjones.com/splash

Outkast is my all time favorite duo, and they will on future posts.

TV Tuesday: Korean-me-till-the end

I've picked up a few words over the shows I've been watching or some I just didn't want to sit through, but wanted to check out. These shows (i know i usually do three) are drama shows from 'DramaFever' and they are really good - makes me wonder why whomever writes/directs and all, doesn't come and teach some on the people here, in the US how to make great shows. Maybe it's just me. Maybe it's just my love for languages - shows - films & etc., that make me want to adore them every time I come across something new. Just keep in mind ... like always - that i can't explain shit:
  • Birth of a Beauty: This show to me, was good overall: the concept/story line - the acting, (minus a few people) scenery ... was my favorite. From being beyond mistreated as a person ... wife, and in-law, is so effed up! Like I couldn't help but feel like some people I know or knew of can relate or just seem to fit this sort of story .. shit, I can even relate to some of the things this show has to offer. Just know that when you learn to love yourself, however you figure it out - know that it's worth so much more than trying to change physically to feel beauty ... Watch this and you will see how things fall into place, from romance, laughter, betrayal/hurt & etc., you can find something to relate to even if you think it doesn't seem like it. Taking control of your life, like how Geum did - she went through everything to find out the truth, to get people to pay for their sins, to know what it's like to love again, to follow her dream, to move on, and to seriously love who she is not matter what: women strong and proud of it. A lot of it was help from Han, whom helped her along the way ... just watch the show! My favorite out of all of them is whom i feel like is a master of all trades, Han (Joo Sang-Wook) they way he carries himself, and stands his ground is always a plus! even if he seems cocky - it fits his personality and i've developed a tv crush (and it's rare) he's also super handsome, especially when he smiles. I might have these shows in order from either how i watched them or how I liked them the most, yet not the least. They're fresh, and new to me - i'm always down for new shows from all over, and these shows have tons of action and adventure, family feels & all. #미녀의 탄생
  • Angel Eyes: There is this one song throughout the show that is so freakin' annoying, like yeah we get it - it's the title of the show, but come on ... instrumental is fine. Anyways, the way this story is told is amazing to me. How two lives can end as one, yet two were meant to be as time went on, even through all the ups and downs, and the backstabbing- torn- hell nos... this is drama, ladies and gents - and i say it's really good. Living most of childhood to teenage life blind from a bridge-quack, losing her mom - from eating dinner on an day off, rushing to the scene ... losing his dad in the aftermath. These two Soo Wan, and Dong Joo, eventually found each other, (he was a little stalker i say lol) in their teenage years, but with a little step back ... Soo became blind from the accident, leaving Dong (delivers his moms cooking house-to-house, ex,. Soo's - it's how he's grown very fond of her) to guess/find out after awhile before they officially meet. Before they grew up, separated (more like forbidden ... when shit hits the fan!) before he can witness something great happen to her ... the teenage years were more of my favorite to watch and wished there were more to see, but the way they wrote the show ... how they grew up the characters (thanks to the aging of Soo's dad - it's how I knew)  it was actually good - people went along with their dreams, lived their lives over the past twelve years span - things were good, then not good, then burned-shit-holed-cold truths started to flood ... new romances accord ... but sike bitch old ones forever! it's how it seemed to me if anything. I mean like, if i keep getting into this i feel like i will spoil so much, because i like hated some of these characters for the shady shit they've done, and how they lived with things ... just GAAAAA *eyeball scratch* - it's a great show - lots of things to look forward to, guess, hate, love, everything. Keep a look out for Kang Ha-Neul (young Park Dong Joo) - he clearly made me cry in this show - his acting is so good, like everything felt real (hence why i cried). I will keep a look out on his work, as I slowly progress on being a fan. #엔젤 아이즈
  • Blood: Can you guess on what the title means? If not, it's about the infected! Nope, not zombies (good - it's played out a bit, or maybe it's certain shows), but the vamps: yeah, i'm not big on vampires really, unless it's like Underworld - sometimes it becomes over kill, though this show is good. I'm still watching it - as I type this (though not at the moment). I like how it's written, and some of the actors on the show - I've seen them from previous shows like, Angel Eyes, Blade Man, and another show called 'A Word From Warm Heart' (it was too much over-kill-drama-shit for me. lol) Since this show seems to be the only one new, and running - its what made me notice them. It's like a dark thriller with your romance for the love-birds - a bit of humor for ones liking, and just straight out drama, hurt & all for all to enjoy. From the digging, and wonders of how the infection started, on the search to finding his parents murderer, and trying the stay human because it's how he and his mom (dad, too but he never got the chance to grow up with one) lived before tragedy began for him. Dr, Park, his best friend (who helps him with his condition: medical wise - also, to keep his secret, even though they're working with others) and his colleagues are trying to figure out the mystery of the virus from decades ago. But Park isn't the only vampire working in the fields, traveling to figure out how the infection began ... working in the hospital, pretending to be a living thing .. surprises are on its way ... devil keeps on knocking. I need to finish this before I can give a review. How was that description? bad? i know. Well, I feel like Park is all sass-sass-sass-sass the more i watch ... #블러드
  • Blade Man: This show, the way the blades are released is weird - like they should have made them a different way, but I got used to it. This show made me laugh, because how the main character is - which I feel like it's how I am sometimes - the way he expresses himself throughout episodes, is funny. The way his buttons get pushed, or how things don't go his way ... run for your life. Things turn around for him, like he was giving a new beginning - which he was, and how he accepts the change, along with the challenges that comes with it. It has heartache, betrayal, humor, a sense of being or something like that, if it makes sense. (i never make sense). It seems beyond cheesy though when you get to see Joo (main character) and his 'gift/curse' evolve ... it's worth a watch. It's like he is an example of all the bad, riches in the world - he can still overcome so much to be a better person, though it seems like it takes a long time to happen. Se Dong (Shin Se-Kyung) became my girl crush ... she just has like this amazing heart, that you can't let go of - like you wish there were more people like her in this world. She just welcomes you with love, and her personality - even if she's been through so much in life, she never fully gives up. I adore her. I was really glad she could help the grinch out, because everyone who has it rough, becomes this sort of 'rotten apple', this 'authority' like person - still needs someone, even if it's romantically or not - supportive in all ways, never gets better than that (or maybe). It's a journey we're on with these shows, and it's pretty damn good. I wouldn't mind watching this one again, it's already on my list. I like the characters, how they tend to somewhat balance each other out like the other shows above - even if they want to admit it or not ... like their feelings towards one another. #아이언맨

Fashion Favorites: A little along the way

A little quick, yet random picks for a first 'Fashion Favorites' which will be posted on Fridays ... but here and there. Fashion to me, is a part of an Art form, and being able to express yourself in the clothing you wear - is amazing. Whatever makes you feel the utmost comfortable, and free - is the winner. Today's favorites are from random events, or just street style that was put on hold, and are now being shared. Some of these people are also some of my favorites when it comes to their style and the work they do. Let's begin.

Suki Waterhouse in Valentino's (one of my favorite designers) Spring 2015 Collection, at the Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in London (July 2nd).

Suki is not only a model, but an actress - one i've decided to see grow, and shut everyone else up for giving her crap about who she is, and what she does. Suki is the new face of Redken - NYC | very chic in a way, and she looks beautiful from the collection photos. She's also the face of many clothing lines, including Burberry. With many posts to come, I'm sure she will be in the majority of them. Hashtag #sukids #girlcrush #fashioninspiration #stunning #everything

Elizabeth Olsen in a romper attending the launch of Miu Miu's first fragrance, in Paris. Even with a little malfunction to her outfit, she still managed to look beautiful and elegant. I guess being stylish runs in the Olsen family, and they know how to do it well.

Tasha Green - Youtuber, and fashion, beauty blogger. For being a new favorite in the 'digital' world ... Tasha knows how to wear, not over accessorize to the point of over kill. You can check out her channel and blog to see why she's become one of my favorites, with how very unique she is.

Zoe Kravitz - Musician, and Actress. Yes, she will be mentioned on here more than one can count. The way she dresses reminds me of her parents from their youth (and now), and it comes off as a fresh look sometimes. A mixture of both, yet it's her own look, which she plays around with to continue creating her style.

Korean boy group/band BIGBANG, which consist of Seungri (whom i just realized was in a show i was recently watching - mind blown), T.O.P, Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung. One of my favorites in music, and fashion. Who says they should dress the same because they're in a group/band? hopefully no one - that would be ridiculous. They have their own style both in music, and fashion - which is why they're one of my favorites! especially since hey coordinate well with one another - the 'squad' you would want to be nothing but goals, of course. To be in a group/band of some sort, the best thing to do/be is ones self - including individually standing out with vocals, attitude, and appearance & etc., - they nail them all. Check them out if you don't know who they are, what they bring, and represent. Men with a sense or a touch of fashion/style - are doing it right, (even if they're not into the whole fashion craze - believe it or not, everyone has style in them, which makes it their own .... duh). #kpop #fashionkings

Post ya next time! Back to watching 'Blood', and 'Blade Man' - both differently written, and both Korean shows, and will be on the next TV Tuesday for all to know more.

Whoa! Want them back ...

Have you ever wanted a show to come back to tv, that you binge watch online or wherever you can? Yup, that's been me with 'Smallville' - one of my favorites of all time. I keep asking myself why haven't I got the dvd collection from all 10 seasons? It's weird. But that's not the only show on my list. They've been making announcements about old shows coming back with the same cast, and I'm like - how about a remake of 'A Different World' or 'Living Single' or bring back 'Charmed' with it's original cast, have the story progress, and continue with their doppelgangers. Shows that had strong female leads - or less of the stuck in the 1950's era. More POC (people of color, as most say) - more culture-loving characters, and shows. Why is that so hard to makes something like that be authentic, and relatable to the audience?

How about the thought of movie remakes, like 'Edward Scissorhands?' but with the only expectation of Matthew Gray Gubler becoming Edward, because he reminds me of Johnny Depp with the characters he plays - he does them so freaking well, and amazing. Matthew has like this Spencer charm from 'Criminal Minds' that can fit to him as Edward ...

Or like instead of remakes of things ... getting spin-offs sound better - the originals can make appearances. When it was announced that 'Supernatural' (also on the list of favorite shows, but stopped watching - seems like the same repeating factors of story lines or something that just annoys me so much. I'll figure that out) was getting a spin-off after like nine years of being on air - which was a little too late to have, in my opinion. The spin-off to me, was fresh and new, but not everyone felt that way, because it never had the chance to showcase due to people not wanting it - maybe since the Winchesters won't be in it as much - it's just unfair that spin-off shows never get the chance to shine, thanks to some not letting the alums step aside. #sadforlife

What if Boyz ll Men and Backstreet Boys did like a show or tour together showcasing their beautiful harmonies? or like Kelly Clarkson, P!nk, Jill Scott or female powerhouses (like them, and examples of Christina Aguilera) coming together to show us what they got as a whole! Things like this would be so awesome in the musical world - like they can create mini girl groups/bands ... Yeah, so getting out of hand with this mind of mine.

Just think about it people!

Oh like books, that are meant to be held, and pages that are meant to be flipped, and stared at it. (yeah sure we have them, but sooner or later they will be gone or caged somewhere no one would be allowed to visit or see unless they have some sort of leverage. #NODONTTHINKTHISWAY

I ramble ... as always! The're just thoughts on stuff, leading to other stuff - making you think about them, too. So yes, Whoa! Want them back ... make them work, all that amazing love.
