Heart of Dread: Frozen (book one of three) by Melissa de la Cruz, and Michael Johnston.
As mentioned last time when i recommend some books, this was one to review. I read this last year, i believe, and i found it to be a good story - well worth a read. If i remember clearly, or a good chunk of it, I still need to read part two, as Ryan (wes) went back to go find his sister after all they've done to help Natasha escape to this place where she feels like she belongs. A place where she needed to be - a place called 'Blue'. It's not easy getting to one place after you're apart of a crime, or so to speak. It's a mission these characters are on, and if you love a bit of romance mixed with danger/action, then give this a read. You can check out more books written by Melissa here.
Part of the book description:
"At the heart of this city is Natasha Kestal, a young blackjack dealer looking for a way out. Like many, she's heard of a mythical land simply called “the Blue.” They say it’s a paradise, where the sun still shines and the waters are turquoise. More importantly, it’s a place where Nat won’t be persecuted, even if her darkest secret comes to light.
But passage to the Blue is treacherous, if not impossible, and her only shot is to bet on a ragtag crew of mercenaries led by a cocky runner named Ryan Wesson to take her there. Danger and deceit await on every corner, even as Nat and Wes find themselves inexorably drawn to each other. But can true love survive the lies? Fiery hearts collide in this fantastic tale of the evil men do and the awesome power within us all."
br = book rating.
i can never explain things 100 percent how i want to.
