Life After Theft by Aprilynne Pike
I was reading a little sentence where someone reviewed this book awhile back, and the cover is somewhat different from the actual story - it never crossed my mind, though it doesn't matter ...? anyways. I enjoyed this book - some of the characters (like most from every book, there's a dislike) were ones you could either relate or just simply like, while the others just annoy you like typical friends or something. I'm all for the paranormal as well which got me into reading this in the first place. I like the whole idea of the dead finding their way to communicate with the living, and either intriguing or terrifying them as if they've seen ... you get it? this spirit is just trying to do the right thing, because time was up on their end - it's their way of fixing things like how the description says 'unfinished business' in order to move off to the afterlife, if i must say. If i could come back to life after to fix whatever it is, i'll take that chance too, and annoy someone till they helped me while it somewhat benefited them as well. Anyways, my describing forever sucks, so give this a read - love it, hate it - i liked the story. I wanted more, due to the fact that I was for Kim and Jeff's friendship.
For more of Aprilynne's books more.
No one can see or hear Kimberlee except Jeff, so--in hopes of bringing an end to the snarkiest haunting in history--he agrees to help her complete her "unfinished business." But when the enmity between Kimberlee and Jeff's new crush, Sera, manages to continue posthumously, Jeff wonders if he's made the right choice.'
